About The Polka Dot Puppy The Polka Dot Puppy is a special occasion dog bakery based out of Nashville, TN. Our executive "pawsty" chef has been decorating and shipping dog birthday cakes to lucky birthday dogs all over the United States since January 2005 (originally as What A Good Dog Bakery in Atlanta, GA). What else should you know about us? First - WE LOVE DOGS! We have three dogs of our own and we typically have a foster dog at home as well. Of course, we love all animals, so we also have a cat and a horse, too. Second - All of our recipes and designs are developed by an animal scientist! Yes, Lyndi actually has a Bachelors of Animal Science with a concentration in Feeds and Feeding. So, not only are our treats pretty to look at, but a lot of thought has gone into developing a healthy and delicious treat for your dog. In fact, ALL of our treats are made with human-grade ingredients found at your local grocery store. Third - We consider our customers friends! As a small family-run business, we truly take the time to get to know our customers and their dogs. Many of our customers have been with us since the very beginning. We get to celebrate with our customers when they adopt a new dog...and sometimes, we get to cry with our customers when they lose a beloved pet (those are the hard days!)
